The basis for his career included concert diplomas from London, Royal College of Music and the conservatory in Winterthur, as well as Master courses. A wide range of famous artists, such as Pavel Gililov, Alexander Bondurjansky, Vitally Margulis, Maurice Hertzog, Karl-Andreas Kolly, Dinorah Varsi, Rudolf Kehrer and in particular Lev Vlassenko (Moscow), as well as Eteri Andyaparidze in New York broadened his education as a pianist. Amongst numerous awards and prizes, Michel Rembold won the following international piano contests: 1st prize; international competition of Tortona (1993) 1st prize; international competition of Savigliono (1994) 1st prize; international competition of Ispra (1994) Italian critics compared the aspiring performer with Michelangeli and Richter. (Mondo Padano, Cremona 1995) "His ample control over the form and the sonority, as well as interpretations of first class" earned him praise. Numerous appearances in Europe, accompanied by Beethoven's piano concerts, popularised the young artist. A very successful recording of Beethoven's piano concerts No. 3&5 has recently been published by International Artists AIA. For the Beethoven Concerto No.5 the French Press called Michel Rembold "excellent soloist".
